GG&J Gives Back

At Giddens & Gatton Law, P.C., our primary mission is providing “Expertise with Compassion” for our clients. That mission extends beyond our legal practice to reaching out to the community through various charitable initiatives such as participating in the annual Run for the Zoo and volunteering for Toys for Tots during the holiday season. Of those initiatives, our biggest contribution to the people of Albuquerque and New Mexico was through a $10,000 donation to Paws and Stripes.

Paws and Stripes, a nonprofit program launched in 2010, integrates service dog training with mental health support for military veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and brain injuries. The program selects dogs from local shelters, matches them with veterans, and provides specialized service dog training. This service, which would otherwise cost between $10,000 and $60,000, is provided to veterans free of charge.

Giddens, Gatton Law, P.C. raised its donation to Paws and Stripes through its second annual Roaring ’20s theme gala “A Night at the Ritz.” The glitzy event took place at the Tanoan Country Club, and attendees were encouraged to dress in cocktail and party attire reminiscent of the Roaring 20’s. All the proceeds from the event and other contributions were donated directly to Paws and Stripes.

Sponsorship of a fundraiser for Paws and Stripes is a natural fit for Giddens & Gatton Law, P.C. because of the firm’s extensive personal connections to the military. Two of our partners and several staff members are either military veterans or have other ties to the military. Reaching last year’s fundraising goal of $10,000 was a source of pride for the entire firm.

We invite you to join Giddens & Gatton Law, P.C. in celebrating our troops, and the wonderful accomplishments of Paws and Stripes!

Sincerely,

Dave Giddens
